What Do You Think?

I think it would be much easier to fight with dignity than to surrender in shame. If you are in any sort of conflict that seems unjust by your morals or the basic morals the human race live by, then your motives are pure. Pure motives let you lead with the upper hand, if you fight with dignity, verbally or physically, then there is little chance of failure. However fighting with unclear motives that lead to nothing more than self empowerment, or if you have selfish and arrogant ambitions, you will certainly lose.
To surrender is only acceptable if you arrogantly started something with somebody, or somebodies, out of spite and selfishness. It shows you are wrong and that you messed up and will accept all consequences.
To surrender because you feel as if you can't endure any more, or you don't want to look foolish, that is the most shameful of all. To surrender because you feel you can't endure is cowardice, selfish, and an over sum of how pathetic you are. To surrender out of fear is such a disgrace to not only you but where you came from, your family, everything you've ever known. If you stand up for what you know is right, and valiantly attempt to thwart your advisory, even is you lose, you'll look like a hero in the eyes of countless people. Especially those in the same boat as you.

Never back down unless you know you have made a mistake and the war you are fighting has no value, leads to no great peace or or the bettering of the lives of others.
