My favorite Christmas decoration is actually a tie. This old Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer we have. My Grandpa made it himself. It's a four-piece figure made of wood and i remember as a kid the funnest thing of decorating was putting it together. The legs to the body and the antlers to his head. I love everything about it, the paint thats wearing on its nose and eyes, the jungle bell fastened about his neck. Even the smell makes me smile. It's one of the only things my brother and I have to remember him.
The other is a miniature talking Christmas tree named Douglas my folks got for me and my brother to put in our shared room at our old house. It was like a house warming gift since it was the first Christmas at our (then) new home. It was a riot. It had eyes that lit up, eye lips that moved, and a mouth that reacted to his speech. He came with four songs and about 5 sayings. It was really state of the art at the time i remembered because it was motion censored so that when you passed he'd belt "Deck the Halls" or a corny line like, "You know, I shook limbs with Blitzen" and he'd wink. It was great. But yeah, those are my most favorite Christmas decorations ever.

Cherrished
The greatest present that i can remember ever was actually recently. It was last year. I had been receiving hand-me-down phones ever since my family discarded our home phone and all had cell phones. My brother on the other hand some how convinced mom and dad that he should be awarded my upgrades to get himself the greatest phones of the time. I was tired of it, so i asked for the iPhone. And i got it. Granted it was my only present other than the traditional undies and raisenettes. I was so happy when i got it. i still have it as a matter of fact. I use it more than any other gift i've ever gotten and still thank my folks that they actually got it for me.

Lights...Ground Features...Winter
Christmas time= Christmas lights. Everyone loves the way they look and shimmer. They illuminate neighborhoods and bring joy to all. One cannot deny the happiness within once you see multicolored strands glowing around plants, windows and trimmings; or the pureness of plain white bulbs shimmering about shrubberies and rooftops. However beautiful these may be, it is undoubtedly the most frustrating thing of the season. You set them up only to find out you cannot connect them, or once you finally find a way to bring power to each strand you see that a fuse is burst or a bulb is broken. Grr. nevertheless, enjoy the spectacles this year as it seems more people are participating exterior decorating.

Santa... BELIEVE!
I actually do believe in Santa, not so much him being a tangible, living, breathing thing more like an essence. Santa Clause is us being nicer than we usually are, more considerate of others, not necessarily knowing when one is sleeping or not, but paying attention to details of our loved ones so we know the perfect gift to bear. Santa is the spirit of giving, not some red clad man with a beer belly and scraggly white facial hair, but he exists nonetheless through us.

Great year
this has been a great year thus far. Thinking back i remember the moment i got my car. I my heart melted then and there as soon as i set eyes on it. My '88 Oldsmobile 98 Regency Brougham. It is nothing short of the best thing ever to grace the road of it's presence. I remember my summer job, all the money i made. Trips to Evansville to relieve my burning pocket of its scorching money. This year, as memorable as it has been with personal events and milestones, it has also been one of the best years of music. The new Say Anything CD has just come out, the new As Cities burn CD came out, the new Dave Matthews Band CD came out, as well as the new Dance Gavin Dance, He is legend, and, soon, the new Circa Survive and the new John Mayer. I've also grown my musical interests. Maybe not so much the interest as artists. I listen to Andrew Bird, Damien Rice, Fleet Foxes, and Foxy Shazam. I've also listened more to bands long forgotten to me such as John Mayer, Kanye West, Saosin, Paulo Nuttini, and Amos Lee.
I must say, this is a beautiful year of music and inspiration.
P.S.- DO NOT ILLEGAL DOWNLOAD THE MUSIC UNLESS YOU ARE FINANCIALLY INCAPABLE. I was watching an interview of Max Bemis from Say Anything and Anthony Green of Circa Survive and they said they don't really mind ppl pirating music, not just because "everyone does it" but because they don't mind just as long as the music is getting out there. But still, we should support them as best we can.
that is all.

rock band
It's a Friday night. It's rainy. You have no money to go out. What is there left? You think, nothing. There is nothing for me, i can mark this as a tragedy. You mope and pout around all night until, 'bringgeliiing!' You get a text from your bff! It's an invite to go play the most magnificent, addictive, and quite possibly the most socially accepted game in the world. it is the Rock Band. This is the game in which the most awkward, nerdy kid can be accepted as a god. You become true members of a fictional band and play yourself some gigs and get "fans". This game, i've found, is the best thing to happen to families. It brings them all together, levels the playing field and allows at least on thing in common. Thank you Rock Band. For saving my family.

WE
We do not simply live for ourselves, but for those who came before us and those who will come after us.
This is a great quote. it focuses on our need to be comfortable and our want for others to be comfortable as well. We live to keep our families name in good terms as well as how we are influenced by what our family has done. We want to make our families proud, whether we'll admit it or not. We want to secure a place in this world, from racing for land in the 1800s to buying a lot nowadays, we want something to have for us. We want to know that we'll have a place, a place to call home. We want that for our children as well. For our children's children, and their children and so on. it is in no ones interest for others to suffer, no normal interest that is. We want not just for us to have a home and something to live for, but for those after us to have something, a legacy, whether it is to carry yours on or to assist in the starting of their own.

Ghosties
Geeze, i don't really believe in ghosties. There is always an explanation for everything; be it scientific phenomenon or simply figments of ones imagination. In the Bible it says you go straight to judgement the moment you die. However, demons are totally real i think. There are stories in the Bible of Jesus and his disciples casting them out, a demon even spoke to Jesus directly, Legion it said, it even had a name. Any who, my church goes to Africa once a year and my friend's dad has some pretty eerie stories of demonic encounters. He says that an ambassador of some sort came to see what the missionaries were doing and since he was in charge the ambassador came up to him. He said it got cold and he could see such hate in the blankness of the man's glasses. As soon as the man shook his hand, my friend's dad became ill to his stomach, puking and shaking for quite some time once the ambassador left. Another story lived by my friend's dad is when the mission team was on a bus and this boy who walked with spasms and had blank milky eyes ran in front of the bus and yelled something along the lines of CHRISTIANS GO HOME WE OWN THESE PEOPLE! there were mission teams from all over the world that spoke different languages and each and everyone of them understood. pretty weird stuff.

The Autumn
To me, it is the best time ever. Not only is it the most symbolic essence of change, leading to new wardrobes, hair styles, and attitudes, but it is also the introductory season of sweaters. Oh my goodness, i love love LOVE sweaters. Sweaters are so soft and i look really good in them. I look sophisticated yet they're still comfortable enough for me to act a fool in. I not only is it sweater weather, but cuddle weather. The smell of burning leaves, pumpkin spices, and apple cider caressing the rim of your nose as you snuggle by a fire, toasting 'shmellows and talking, taking occasional breaks to eye the starry sky and just wonder.
Autumn introduces sweaters, it's snuggle weather, and the food is remarkable. It is the season of Thanksgiving!
oranges, yellows, purples, and reds i like summer, but Autumn's where my love's at!

It's Raining
Rain, so soothing; brings health and life to vegetation, makes greens richer and trees taller. It helps the restless rest and the restful continue their pursuit of ultimate R&R. I love the rain. I sleep my best, think my best, and act my best whilst it rains. There is just something about the rhythm of rain, the continuous and sporadic, individual beat of each tiny rain drop that flows into one roar. it's a power in numbers at best. Rain can be so great, but it can also be so destructive. Each little drop, together can brush mighty trucks off bridges, annihilate homes, and reform the very earth itself. Rain is a marvelous and mysterious force to behold. I just hope this rain won't cause to much harm.

YAAAAAWN!
Why is it that school makes you so tired? What is it about these bleak, white walls and dismal brick surfaces that makes me want to curl up in a blanket and catch some Zs? I know it's not because i don't like school because oddly enough, i do. All my classes are fun and the work isn't unbearable. So what is it about this place that makes me so tired?! i swear, this summer i worked from 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday and would come home not feeling as tired as i do spending my 7hrs at school wear i do no intense or labor related activity.
I wake up a little groggy after having my 5 to 9 hours of sleep, come to school and am fine...until third period. Math, the class i need to stay awake for the most is torture. It's as if the air has been polluted by some gaseous poison, stinging my eyes, their lids begging my brain to close them but i know i can't lest i fall behind on my work. And in drama, the easiest of my eight classes. I sit down in the comfy auditorium seats and drift in and out of sleep, only fully alert to read my lines, then back to La La Land.
The most curious part of this fiasco is that once i'm home, i'm not tired at all. I lie down for a quick power nap before work, yet sleep refuses to come. I don't know. Maybe it IS something in the air here at Apollo High School. Or maybe it's something in the text books, because i know i can't be the only one with this problem.

What Do You Think?
I think it would be much easier to fight with dignity than to surrender in shame. If you are in any sort of conflict that seems unjust by your morals or the basic morals the human race live by, then your motives are pure. Pure motives let you lead with the upper hand, if you fight with dignity, verbally or physically, then there is little chance of failure. However fighting with unclear motives that lead to nothing more than self empowerment, or if you have selfish and arrogant ambitions, you will certainly lose.
To surrender is only acceptable if you arrogantly started something with somebody, or somebodies, out of spite and selfishness. It shows you are wrong and that you messed up and will accept all consequences.
To surrender because you feel as if you can't endure any more, or you don't want to look foolish, that is the most shameful of all. To surrender because you feel you can't endure is cowardice, selfish, and an over sum of how pathetic you are. To surrender out of fear is such a disgrace to not only you but where you came from, your family, everything you've ever known. If you stand up for what you know is right, and valiantly attempt to thwart your advisory, even is you lose, you'll look like a hero in the eyes of countless people. Especially those in the same boat as you.
Never back down unless you know you have made a mistake and the war you are fighting has no value, leads to no great peace or or the bettering of the lives of others.

The Greatest Hero Known To Anyone.
BiBLEMAN!!!!
Bibleman is THE best hero ever. Hands down. How? you may as, well i'll tell you.
1) He's witty. He has the courage to pun using scripture and bible stories as well as the skill to use them in a none blasphemous way.
2) He fights with a lightsaber.
3) He is the spitting image of Batman.
-He has all kinds of cool gadgets and He is a handsome bachelor with oodles of cash. The only difference is that Batman as Bruce partied hardy and has a wise, gentle butler. Bibleman curls up by the fire with his bubble pipe, extra plush night robe, a cup of tea, and of course his ultimate weapon, the bible.
4) Bibleman is a man of God. God picked him to be crazy tough and supernaturally strong as well as extremely smart. You can't beat God's chosen.
Bibleman is funny, outrageously entertaining, comfortable with his goofiness, and beautiful. I love Bibleman.

MUHNAYYYY, MUUHHNAYEEIIYAY!
Money; to me it is pretty dang important. I need it to get into college, i need it to pay bills, i need it to put gas in my car, i need it basically to live a comfortable life. I'm not going to say it's my main goal in life, but it is a priority none the less. If I get a job that i wind up loving and it leaves me with hardly a dollar to my name, i'll be ok with that. I'd rather spend my life with little cash and a whole lot of enjoyment than a crummy existence with Franklins flyin' out my wahzoo.
As much as i hate to say it, yes the world is obsessed with the almighty dollar. Many people lose their lives in pursuit of more more more money. But that's just something the world's going to have to deal with. Greed is an incurable illness satisfied only by the halting dark force of death itself.

A Family That Laughs Together Stays Together
hfhahahahahahah, it is crazy how much we laugh, all the thins that make us laugh, different types of laughter, the list goes on. I know that i like to laugh all the time. I'll do next to anything to get someone to join in on me. Laughing is the worlds way to energize the souls we bear. without laughter the other elements would take over leaving us with nothing but sadness and dismay. Laughter is great and inevitable. If you haven't laughed, then you haven't found what makes you laugh. But its out there, some where somebody is making something hilariously genius as to guarantee that you'll have to tear open your giggle box and let loose that laughter.

I Miss George
I know having a black president is really exciting and it's revolutionary and all that jazz, BUT! Did we really have to talk down good ol' George W. Bush? I can't stand how people are opposing Obama's health care reform yet they say, "well, at least he's no Bush-over." What the heck. Bush was my favorite. I understood him. he was funny and he spoke in plain terms, coming across as a very americanesque man. And stop blaming him for our economy! It's not his fault that 9/11 happened, war was inevitable. If we didn't strike back terrorists would have kept hammering us; defensive actions can only go so far. And Katrina. Geeze Louise! It's not like George has a hurricane machine and aimed it straight for us! It was another thing he couldn't help. If you want to point a finger at anyone, point it at the State Government of Louisiana. They had chances to reinforce the levies but chose not to, they could have easily constructed a safer, more organized evacuation plan but they didn't. They were faced with a trial and sat down. They stood in front of cameras and sputtered out accusations against The Federal Government because they were to cowardly to accept the blame of an ungodly number of deaths that could have been greatly lessened had they made better decisions for the State and not their own gluttonous wallets. They should have their heads chewed off, not Bush. Besides, if you pay even the slightest bit of attention in U.S. History classes you'll know that the President doesn't even really make that many decisions. It's all the Senate and Congress, which by the way, are nothing but a bunch of wolves that haven't spent a single day in the REAL working man's shoes. Bush is just a face, a representation of the average person. A face we voted for TWICE mind you. If people hate him so much then why would you vote for him TWICE! I just don't understand how people can praise some pro-socialist conman as opposed to our latter president with a golden heart.
but that's just me.
but that's just me.

What Does Home Mean To You
Home means to me security. No matter where i go or what i decide to do, i know that if i really mess up and need to start over i can go back to my roots and be welcomed with smiles and open arms. Home is a definite comfort and a sanctuary.
At the moment, i don't feel i am ready to leave home and live on my own. I think i'd be good at it though. When you finally get something and it is yours, you tend to WANT to take care of it and make it better, so if i got a home i know i'd take great care of it, i just don't think i'd have the money to pay for it hahah.

OUCHIE WOAHWAH
have you ever been hurt by anybody's words? Or perhaps you were the one throwing the hurtful words through the air via your voice?
i remember when i was a little kid, i used to be really fat. Like huge. I'm talkin' i was like, just a chunker. nobody talked to me unless it was to say hurtful things. and i didn't really appreciate it. they started a game called, let's-pick-on-that-one-fat-kid-who's-name-starts-with-a-J. Well, it was a pretty intense game that involved mean words and a lot of purple-nurples. But me, i just took it all in and did nothing. About 6 years later and 80 pounds lighter, i have many friends and no one picks on me! See, if i said naughty things back, i would have made enemies, thus resulting in me not having as many friends as i do now. And many of those people that picked on me then aren't really doing to well now. What comes around goes around. So don't throw stones in a glass house. You'll get cut. GAH!

Precipitancy Creates Prodigality
Whaat? It means, Haste Makes Waste. so now, here is a story about how when i am being hasty i mess stuff up.
Ok, so about three months ago i was late for church. I'm in the youth band and i need to be there to play for everybody. I had just gotten off work and had to take a shower. I ended up taking like a thirty minute shower which left me with about five minutes to get dressed and get to church. So, here i am rushing get dressed but i haven't any clothes. I go to into the laundry room, find some jeans and throw on an undershirt. I get to church about 3 minutes late thinking i got this in the bag. But, when i bent over to set up my stuff the other band members began to laugh. I look up and say "Hey, dudes, what's the beef?" to which the respond, "hey, dude, ya got on lady britches!" And sure enough, i went to the restroom, looked over my shoulder and into the mirror to see that i had put on my mom's jeans. How did i know this? I had glittery orange, teal, and Pink flowers with silver glittered stems on either buttock.

Friendship Doubles Joy and Halves Grief
This Egyptian proverb is actually pretty self explainitory. If ya down in the dumps and you haven't any friends, what's that going to to do you. Make you feel worse. If your hurt and have no means to speed your recovery then you'll stay hurt longer. BUT if you have friends then they can help you get through what ever it is that makes you so blue.

a SHOCKING experience
I would have posted this earlier but my lappy top was under the weather. OK, so in my gym class we start walking out to play golf; then all of the sudden someone yells, " OMG IT'S A SQUIRREL!" I look out the door and wouldn't you know, a squirrel had been hangin on to a powerline and in its last desperate attempt to save itself it had bitten into the powerline, frying itself.
i didnt stop laughing for about 30 minutes.

Similar Sire, Similar Scion
It's dificult to say who I look like in my family. I some what resemble my mom because we have the same thick hair and hazel eyes. But then again, i look like my dad in some ways, like my smile....and I also resemble my Pappy(grandad) the the way that i hold myself and my thick eyebrows. And my body shape is similar to my Uncle Brent's so there's another one. A kind of strange one is my cousin, we look eerily alike in almost ever aspect.
Soooo, i reckon i look a little bit like everyone in my family hahahah
